Arch Mission Foundation

A grand, circular interior features a prominent sign reading "ARCH TUN MISSION FOUNDATION," leading to an illuminated doorway at the center.

A California non-profit founded in 2015 with the goal of placing durable archives of human knowledge across the Solar System. Its first lunar archive, etched on nickel foils and accompanied by dehydrated tardigrades sealed in epoxy, rode aboard the Israeli Beresheet lander in 2019. Beresheet crashed on impact, scattering the payload across the lunar surface; the foundation has not retrieved it.
