Boötes Void

The Boötes Void is one of the largest known cosmic voids, a vast region of space with far fewer galaxies than expected. Discovered in 1981 by Robert Kirshner, it spans nearly 200 million light-years and contains only about 60 galaxies, making it a key object of study in understanding the structure and evolution of the universe.
