The Day of Two Noons

A clock火车头在铁轨上,背景中升起蒸汽和朦胧的月光,标题为"The Day of Two Noons"。

Sunday, November 18, 1883: the date on which American and Canadian railroads simultaneously reset their clocks to four new standard time zones. Cities lying east of their new meridian had to wind clocks back, so noon arrived twice that day, first by the old solar time and again by the new railroad time roughly half an hour later.
