James McGaugh

A prominent neurobiologist at the University of California, Irvine, and a pioneer in the study of memory and emotion. McGaugh's research focuses on the neurobiological mechanisms that consolidate memories, particularly how the amygdala and stress hormones influence the strength of long-term recall. He co-authored the first formal study on HSAM in 2006.
