The Conférence Générale des Poids et Mesures, the diplomatic body of the Metre Convention, which meets in Versailles every four to six years to ratify changes to the International System of Units. Its 26th meeting, in November 2018, voted unanimously to redefine the kilogram, ampere, kelvin, and mole in terms of fixed numerical values of fundamental constants — the largest revision to the SI since its creation in 1960.
