Dutch shipwright who took over the Vasa's construction after Henrik Hybertsson's death in 1627. Testified at the inquiry that he had built the ship to the dimensions on file, including the additional upper gun deck Gustav II Adolf had ordered added mid-build. He was not punished, and continued to work for the Swedish navy for another decade after the disaster.
