American structural engineer (1928–2012) who led GCE International on the Hyatt project. After the collapse he lost his professional engineering licences in Missouri, Kansas and Texas. He spent the rest of his career as a forensic engineer and an outspoken lecturer on engineering ethics, often using his own case as the central example in talks at universities and ASCE meetings.
