Lake Conemaugh

Lake Conemaugh was the reservoir held behind the South Fork Dam in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. Built to supply the state's canal system, it later became the private lake of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club. In 1889 it was about two miles long and sat roughly 450 feet above Johnstown, storing the water that devastated the valley below.
