Los Angeles Aqueduct

The Los Angeles Aqueduct is a 233-mile gravity-fed water conveyance system built between 1908 and 1913 to transport water from the Owens Valley to Los Angeles. Designed by William Mulholland, it was the longest aqueduct in the world at the time and remains a critical part of the city's water supply.
