Canadian neuroscientist, founding director of the Brain and Mind Institute at Western University in Ontario. Best known for the two-streams hypothesis of vision, developed with David Milner, which split visual processing into a ventral 'what' pathway and a dorsal 'how' pathway. In the 2010s he collaborated with Lore Thaler on the first brain-imaging studies of human echolocators.
