Concept

Pitch (resin)

Pitch refers to any highly viscous liquid that appears solid at room temperature, commonly bitumen or asphalt. It flows at an extremely slow rate, taking years to visibly change shape or form a single drop. This paradoxical behavior makes it a subject of long-term scientific study, challenging perceptions of material states and illustrating the continuum between solids and liquids.
