Solomon Asch

Solomon Asch (1907–1996) was a Polish-American gestalt psychologist and a pioneer in social psychology. His work focused on how individuals are shaped by the groups they belong to, emphasizing the tension between social pressure and personal integrity. He spent much of his career at Swarthmore College and later at Rutgers University, profoundly influencing the study of group dynamics and conformity.
