Norma Cluster

A massive, rich cluster of galaxies located at the heart of the Great Attractor region. Also known as Abell 3627, it is situated approximately 220 million light-years away. Observations in X-ray and radio wavelengths reveal it to be a site of frequent galactic collisions and intense star formation. While it is a significant source of gravity, its mass alone is insufficient to explain the full pull of the Attractor.
